Playing with Pictures

Sometimes I like to pretend I am an artist and thought I would post some of my stuff somewhere other than my portfolio in my closet. Hope you enjoy!

Below are a series of some of the photos I shot in Florence. All of my work is done in film and in the darkroom. I shot mostly doors in Florence because to me they symbolized the character of Italy altogether. They take their time to make everything unique and special whether they are wrapping a pack of gum or building the doors you see below. It is rare you see the same door twice in Italy.

Here is a bench in a vineyard in Tuscany. Something about it seemed like a silence and peacefulness that I found interesting.

These doors I saw while waiting in line at a museum in Florence. It is my ultimate favorite picture. To me it symbolizes 2 complete opposites ( a perfect flawless door and a messy graffetti door) with the the Italian phrase in the middle spray painted- Ti Amo. I love you. I love everything about this photo. Very meaningful. Love between 2 opposite worlds.

I saw this hidden door in a very beautiful art museum in Florence. It was hidden in the corner and the light fell upon it perfectly.

Just loved this because it was a door within a door.. I mean how many times do you see that!!?!

Cute little girl thought the door was pretty cool too! haha!

This window I found inside a palace and loved the light coming in.

This door was in the same palace. Loved it because of the modern chair next to this ancient door was pretty cool to me and it has the same silent feel as well.

These steps I randomly came upon in the Boboli Gardens LOST as usual. The light fell on the steps like rain drops and I thought it was very beautiful and carried the silence in the rest of my photos. I almost fell off a wall and broke my neck to take this pic, luckily made it out with a couple scratches from thorns!

Will post more work at a later time- this kid is going to stack some zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz’s!!!!
